In business since 1971, our parent location at Robertson Airport (4B8) in Plainville, CT has been teaching prospective pilots how to fly for nearly half a century and now we’re expanding our expertise to the community of folks of and around the Wtrbry-Oxford Airport (OXC)!

Choosing the right flight school can be a very difficult decision, however, your decision should not be based on cost alone. There are many factors involved in choosing the right school for you.

WELCOME TO OXFORD AIRPORT

Opened for public use in 1969, Waterbury-Oxford Airport is centrally located in the Connecticut town of Oxford and is approx. 7 miles southwest of the city of Waterbury. Before that, the airport was owned by a private pilot who made his hobby of flying a business. 

He owned a collection of single engine planes; then eventually sold the airport to the State of Connecticut in the late 60’s. Since then, the number of based aircraft has increased so that it is now home to highest count of aircraft in a single general aviation airport in the state!

Piper Warrior PA-28-161 (N3956M)

Our 1979 Piper Cherokee Warrior (PA-28-161) is equipped with strobes, two NAV/COMs, glideslope, ADF, 4 way intercom, PIC/SIC push to talk, DME and Piper autopilot (IFR certified)

Equipment: Glide slope, Two Nav/Coms, 4 way intercom, Mode C Transponder, Push to Talk (pic/sic), Strobe lights, IFR Certified

Rental Checkout Policy

A minimum of 1.0 hr. dual is required, however, sign off will be at the instructor’s discretion and additional instruction may be needed. If a pilot does not have any previous experience in a low wing aircraft, an extended check out may be warranted. A separate check out is required for this aircraft regardless of the pilot’s check out status in our CE-172 models. If a renter is already checked out in our Piper Archer, an additional check out in the Warrior IS NOT required, however, a check out in this aircraft DOES NOT also allow for the rental of our Piper Archer. A separate check out will be required for that aircraft.
